It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that
Bryan Walliker died in Belfast on 29th July 2006
after a brave fight against cancer.

Here he is, centre, at the 2003 Warri Reunion
(with Ralph Carter and Rob Heger)

WHAT'S HAPPENED

A reunion took place in 2003 for people who were in Warri, primarily between the years 1968 and 1975, known as the 1970s Warri Veterans, or WVs. Click on the banner below to get the full story

120 WVs showed up for a noisy evening on Saturday 4th October 2003 at the Anchor Pub, Bankside, 34 Park Street, London SE1 9EF (near Southwark Bridge), and ended up demanding a re-run in 2005.

Here are the details of the re-run

Venue : “Ye Harte & Garter Hotel”
in Windsor, near London

We met at the Harte & Garter Hotel (opposite Windsor Castle - click on the thumbnail to enlarge) at 7.00 pm on the 1st October, upstairs in the Henry Bar, where we were given a glass of sparkling wine on arrival - after that drinks were purchased from the Bar. A delicious buffet meal was served in the adjoining Ballroom at 8.30 pm and the bar remained open until after 1.00 am.

A Word of Thanks from the Committee

The Committee want particularly to thank the many people who wrote to in saying how much they had enjoyed the 2003 reunion and to commend the Committee for their efforts.

Maureen Quinn deserves special thanks for the many photos she passed on to the Committee, taken in those "Good Ol', Bad 'Ol Days" in Warri. In due course, some of them will no doubt appear on this website. Many of them feature the participants in several shows which the Quinns produced.

We also wish Maureen a speedy recovery to full health again.
